Desperate Housewives - The Complete First Season

this is going to be a long post. a very long one. so stop reading now if you want. a lot has happened in the past month.

life in h-town interesting and hurricane-filled. if you're not spending every morning down at the astrodome feeding hurricane katrina survivors at 4 am then you're on the road trying to run from hurricane rita. i'm just glad those are over and that things are starting to get somewhat close to normal. i stayed in houston. nothing happened. we didn't even get any rain. it was positively the most boring four days of my life. but i did find out that good ol pier one imports is giving me 40 hours of pay for doing nothing. thanks rita. i am not thanking rita however for the 2.89 i paid for gas. and even though i did not evacuate that has to be the weirdest thing i have ever seen. it was very apocolyptic. i have no idea if i spelled that right.

in my week off from work i did have one exciting thing. desperate housewives. second season started. great. also bought the first season on dvd. amanda and i watched hours on end and drank starbucks. good times. i also decided to start a book club. i want it to start soon. i think its gonna be my sad movie night filler. so if you're in houston and want to be in my book club let me know. its gonna be once a month. i would like to have our first meeting late october. i also need some book club suggestions.

life living at home not too bad. work kinda wierd. its strange to work at the same place you have for over two years and do the same things but with totally different people in a totally different city. i also work with lots of highschoolers. thats patience testing. i like to fill my time with routine meetings and things of the sort. bible study. workout schedule. started weight watchers. have lost 8 pounds. go me. joined the singles group at church. have yet to form an opinion on that one. i definitely do know that i hate the term 'singles group' though. make the routine trip to starbucks. its no caribou but its growing on me. a guy that works there brought me my fav drink to pier one one day when he was on his break. i guess i am getting in with the baristas. we have moved. i love the new house. love the houston shopping. there are some fabulous places in this town. traffic sucks.

things to get excited about. wicked tickets in november. rent and harry potter coming out. going to see the bro in lubbock. thanksgiving and christmas coming around, not excited about pier one already getting ornaments. a cold front supposed to hit thursday, cold being 85 instead of 101. trying to find a new job. going to columbus in december. grad school- well kinda. road trip to the grand canyon. ohio state football games. dvr. book club, even if its just amanda and i.

if i have ignored you, sorry. life has been chaotic. moving, hurricanes, no internet, no cell phone service takes a toll on the communication but i promise i have not forgotten anyone. i miss columbus. definitely have not had anytime to mourn it. i am sure it will come and it will be sad. i definitely love hearing from people even if i don't return your call. okay thats about it. i am going to be better  at updating this thing. i will also put up pics.

in reply to christin, i guess i got tagged. my songs are kinda random. these are the first to come to mind

Music Tag
THE RULES:     List five songs that you currently love. It doesn't matter what genre they are from, whether they have words, or even if they're any good, but they must be songs you're really enjoying right now.

Post these instructions, the artists, and the songs in your blog (Xanga). Then tag five other Xanga friends to see what they're listening to.

  1. "You and Me"- lifehouse
  2. "Something More"- sugarland
  3. "You''ll be There"- george strait
  4. "Collide"- howie day
  5. "Zephyr"- red hot chili peppers

i guess i tag borck, pj, my brother,  i don't know. anyone really. im out. more exciting stuff to come. i sure hope.

the time has somehow come. i am graduating. i am moving.  tomorrow the parents come into town. saturday, graduation party. everyone's invited.  sunday graduation. monday leave for texas bright and early.

the past few days have been constant hangout time. i have no drive to pack whatsoever. i just want to soak up as much time with people as possible. basically have been with borcu and tina nonstop. havent spent a night in my house for two weeks now. feel kinda like a vagabond.

last night was the last sad movie night- wit. its sad. real sad. had many guests including a special surprise named justin fogt. yesterday was also my last day to hang out at caribou. i had to say goodbye. i need to find a houston caribou substitute or im gonna go crazy.

well i have lots to do. im super excited about seeing people this weekend. more special guests. its gonna be the first time all the kingdom girls have been together since liz's wedding so you know thats gonna be fun. we are gonna be outta control.

it's been forever. not much has happened at all lately. borck came back to the US, we all road-tripped it to south carolina for blank's wedding and i move in one month from today. ahhhhhh. sad movie nights have had record attendance this summer though which is so fun. weather is nice yet i haven't really been out enjoying it like i should be. y'all can make fun of me, i really don't care, but i ordered laguna beach on dvd. it is addicting. dawson's creek watching is as always outta control. with the weather so nice i really enjoy just getting out and driving around, too bad gas is 2.50 a gallon. makes for an expensive joyride. well really not much to say. thought i would have a fun story or antedote but no such luck. do have loads of celebrity gossip to talk about but ill spare everyone.

so sad movie wednesdays have gotten out of control. last night we had two completely new visitors and one second time guest over. it was crazy! watched beaches. no one cried probably because we just talked through the ending about how the movie isn't all that sad if bette midler wasn't singing 'wind beneath my wings'.

i stepped on a nail on saturday. most people have heard about this but i feel the need to tell people because it is something you never want to do. ever. i took it hard too. your body can not even grasp the pain of having a nail an inch and a half into the ball of your foot. i couldn't even scream or cry because i was going in and out of consciousness. the days after the accident are even worse though. my foot's basically numb but sometimes i hit a nerve or something and this pain radiates through my right side. lesson, watch where you're going and don't where flip flops in your scary basement.

so last night at sad movie night we had a debate. the debate was if 'the lion, the witch and the wardrobe' is the first narnia book. i said yes. i called my mom. she said yes. we looked at our boxed set. it was the first book. stehlik says however that it may be the first book but c.s. lewis recommends you reading the 'magician's nephew' first and that should actually be the first book in the series. has anyone else heard this? i think its ludacris.

school, yucky. counting down the days until i move home. need to find a job. pronto. two months. my parents house is for sale. we are one of the very last people to leave bear creek. its sad.

don't talk to me about tom and katie holmes. i may love dawson's creek and thrive on celebrity gossip, but i think he's a toolbag and a predator, katie is his prey. not that i think shes something great. her acting is horrible. her singing is even worse and now shes into scientology. thats all im gonna say. it's caribou time.

it's been a really long time and this month has gone by super super slow. what have i done the past month? went home, spent some quality time with the parents, looked around for a new house, etc. went to gallipolis for a weekend with aaron and cass, always a good time. but overall just did the usual coffee shop/ catch up on celebrity gossip thing.

there's some good celeb gossip these days. keeps me busy. my strange fascination/ disgust with paris hilton continues. i will say i think shes trash but something about her sucks me into reading every article published. we have a love hate thing i guess.

this week- finals, gross. this weekend- weddings and graduation, not my own don't you worry.

dawson's creek season five- thoroughly enjoyable.

sad movie pick of the week- i am sam.

it's kinda sad that basically all i can comment on my life is the same three thing- celebrity gossip, dawson's creek and sad movie wednesday. it's hard to believe that in three months i will be living back in houston. i've been here for so long. at least houston has air conditioning everywhere. i am sweltering. it's by far the most miserable its ever been in columbus and of course this is when i don't have ac. i woke up this morning with a heat rash that spans the entire right side of my body. its a beaut let me tell you.

ive been writing in sentence fragmants lately. don't really know why. well i will probably go right now and tell you that im gonna study for finals and do everything but. its so hard. when i think of something fun to share i'll post.
